About Tetbury

Tetbury boasts a fantastic location amongst some of the key towns within the Cotswolds, located around 10 miles south west of Cirencester, half an hour from the pretty Castle Combe and an hour from the popular Bath Spa. The Tetbury Music Festival 29th September 2nd October

The Tetbury Music Festival has been a key part of Tetburys autumn events calendar since 2002, giving both locals and visitors the chance to experience the finest music and performers within the beautiful setting of Tetbury Church. With HRH The Prince of Wales as the Patron, you can be assured of an elegant affair and a wonderful line-up curated by Artistic Director Jonathan Cohen. With a variety of performances catering to varied classical music tastes, an autumn evening at the TMF is sure to be a night to remember.

Autumn Events at Westonbirt Arboretum

As one of the UKs best-known arboretums, Westonbirt is a wonderful place to explore and take in the rich autumn colour palette of auburns, coppers and bronzes adorning the trees at this time of year. Over the course of September there are a wide number of events planned, providing activities for people of all interests and ages. Some highlights for September include:

  • Hot Air Balloon Flights this weekend on the 18th of September: A perfect way to enjoy Westonbirt (weather dependent) and take in all of the colours of autumn. This is the last opportunity to enjoy Westonbirt by balloon for the season, so make sure you book for an unforgettable experience.
  • The Cotswold Fit For You One Day Fitness Camp on the 24th of September: Looking to get fit this autumn? This one day fitness camp is designed to challenge those who are already exercising through a series of activities, followed by a lunch and a chance to try kickboxing, Pilates and other great activities.
  • The Awesome Autumn Guided Walk: Every Friday in September and October, Westonbirt will be running its special series of guided walks. The walks are an excellent opportunity for visitors to find out more about the arboretum as well as discover some hidden treasures a great way to explore.
  • Wild Westonbirt on the 26th of September: Young adventurers will love taking part in Wild Westonbirt a youth club with a twist! The club teaches a range of forest and survival skills as well as star gazing, crafts and more. This is a great way to spend a Saturday whilst mum and dad head out to explore the rest of Tetbury.

For a truly English afternoon, a tour of Highgrove certainly delivers. The home of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, the gardens are a must see at this time of year. Brimming with wildlife, beautiful flowers and plants whose blossom extends into the autumn, the gardens are a truly spectacular sight.
