Nestled away in a sleepy Cotswolds village, our cosy holiday cottage was picture perfect. We found the idyllic Garsons Cottage down a quiet country lane, one of a pretty row, bordered by scented lavender and roses. The oak-beamed stone cottage, in the tranquil Oxfordshire village of Idbury, had a stack of logs by the wood-burning stove and vases filled with flowers from the garden, making us feel warmly welcome. In the little kitchen area, wine was chilling in the fridge and a freshly baked cake was by the teapot. Upstairs, sun was streaming into the bedroom, which had a king-size bed with fluffy towels laid out for the shower room.
