Property details

Nestled in the pretty Cotswolds village of North Cerney is Mole End Cottage. This traditional 18th century stone cottage has been completely transformed following a refurbishment. The contemporary interiors throughout are bright and airy, creating a spacious property sleeping four guests. The first floor features two lovely bedrooms, one double and one twin, along with a brand new family bathroom. On the ground floor guests will find a large, comfortable sitting room and sunlight filled kitchen/dining room. Both rooms have cosy wood burning stoves and doors which open out on to the South facing walled garden with two patio seating areas to enjoy.

North Cerney is one of eight South Cotswolds parishes forming the Churn Valley. North Cerney’s local pub The Bathhurst Arms is just two minutes from the cottage and is an excellent starting point for three picturesque walks which all circle back to the pub where delicious food and well-earned drinks will await you. Only 7 miles away is Cirencester, often referred to as the Capital of the Cotswolds. Dating back to Roman times, Cirencester provides a wealth of fascinating history, architecture, attractions, shops and places to eat.

Guest reviews

Great stay in a lovely cottage. Even in the rain! Would recommend the gardens over the road, but many wonderful walks here. Coln St Aldwyn is a must, check out the walk routes.

We were not expecting great things!
Weather wise, but by total fluke it got better and better. Your cottage is delightful - we have stopped at many but found yours to be just to our taste.
A stop at Daylesford en route, trip to Cirencester, a few drinks at the local and friends over for a bbq for an afternoon.
Oh, and the most comfy bed. Heaven!

Fantastic cottage, beautiful weather and nice meal in local pub. Did not want to leave and head back to reality.
Thank you.

An absolutely delightful getaway for a few days.
Cowley Manor is definitely worth a visit. Also ' Made by Bob' in Cirencester.
The cottage itself is perfect for everything!

We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful little cottage, despite wishing that we could have stayed longer.
Having travelled from the Lake District we were thrilled to have some nice weather and so took advantage of the local walking routes. We also had a lovely day in Bath and would definitely recommend ' The Circus' as somewhere to eat.
Another recommendation would be ' Daylesford farm' as the food is delicious and the farm foof shop is delightful.
We would all like to thank Linda for the much appreciated food hamper, and for making the cottage so welcoming and comfortable.
We will 100% be back!

Beautiful, well kept cottage. Very cosy; especially with both log burners in use. Had some great meals at the Bathurst Arms - don't be put off by the menu on the website, in reality it is much more extensive! Cirencester is definitely worth a visit. Nice shopping - 'Made by Bob' was great for lunch. Blenheim Palace is worth a visit. The guided tour was fab - gave lots of info about the family etc. Westonbirt Arboretum, also worth a visit. All the colours were amazing; and a great dog walk. It goes without saying that the cottage itself was clean, comfortable and glam! This is our 11th Rural Retreats cottage and did not disappoint. Thank you Mrs Mole!
