Guest reviews

So nice to find a house with 5 bedrooms of similar standard and all en suite. Really good to have large reception rooms especially the hub of the house - the kitchen. A very grown up place to stay. Beautiful views and wonderful walks with good local pubs. Would like to come back and experience in the summer months.

Had a short stay with three generations which proved perfect in this impressive country house. The setting and views across the valley were tremendous. The layout of the house with the triple aspect lounge and large bedrooms were magnificent. Spent a day in Bath at the Christmas market then a visit to Gloucester rugby grounds and afternoon tea at a local country house - great variety of activities.

Best house we've rented in approx 12 years. House superb, views to die for, beautiful area of England and an absolutely delightful owner.

We gathered as a family to celebrate our parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The weather gods were kind to us and with the pool heated we spent hours in the water. (So glad we spent the extra to have it heated, we would not have used it as much as we did if we hadn't). The whole family went in, age range from 14 to 87 years. With no close neighbours we could be as noisy as we liked. The house was lovely with plenty of room for all of us to be together or quietly away on our own if we needed to be. Took me a while to get used to the Aga. Still produced evening meals for 9 so must have been doing something right! Great tennis court too, just need to remember to take your rackets and balls. Same if you want to play croquet. The views are spectacular and the area is soooo peachful and quiet, except when we were all in the pool! Lovely little post office down the road for the morning papers. Cirencester is lovely. For the anniversary lunch we went to Barnsley House, it was really lovely. Can throughly recommend. Also ate at the Bathurst Arms, really lovely meals for all of us. Joan made us feel very welcome. It was a wonderful week.

Our family of 11 (grandparents, children and 5 granddaughters) have just had a tremendous week in Rendcomb. It exceeded all expectations and the delightful house accommodated us all with room to spare. The very friendly owner greeted us on our arrival and was always available throughout our stay. The pool was a hit with us all and we enjoyed biking, walking, playing tennis... and playing the grand piano. The perfect place for a big family holiday.

Renovated to a high standard and very well equipped. Particularly enjoyed the pool which can be heated (essential in an English summer!). A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
