Surrounding local area

Willersey puts you just a few miles away from the most quintessential Cotswold town of them all, Broadway, with its unique and iconic three-storey tower. The town is steeped in history – plenty of artists stayed here, as did Oliver Cromwell!
If you’re visiting Broadway, why not take a detour to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway? This heritage railway takes you to Cheltenham, through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Cotswolds.
When you arrive at Cheltenham, you’ll find why the town has become known as the Capital of the Cotswolds, with its stylish Promenade, boutiques and independent eateries. If you’re a fan of the turf, a visit to Cheltenham Races is a must!
Just a short drive from Willersey, Sudeley Castle is a great day out for all the family. This is the only private castle in England to have a queen buried within its grounds. Katherine Parr lived here and was entombed in the church on the estate. In fact, four queens have links with the castle, including Elizabeth I. Nearer still is Snowshill Manor
packed with and eclectic collection of treasures and just a few miles from here, Chipping Campden, home to the 19th century arts & crafts movement is well worth exploring with its many fine independent shops.
Stratford-upon-Avon isn’t far from the North Cotswolds. If you appreciate the Bard you can catch a Shakespeare play at one of the three theatres here, but this lovely town is well worth a visit in its own right.
For a family day out, The Cotswold Wildlife Park is home to some rare birds and mammals. Not to mention reptiles and amphibians! The gardens are glorious, especially in the spring and summer.
