The table and chairs provide a lovely setting for breakfast, whilst the garden seat is ideal for an afternoon snooze or a session with your current tome or favourite newspaper, or you may just prefer to relax to the sound of birdsong.
A short stroll along the lane will take you to the beautiful pastoral views seen in the photo gallery and a short walk into the village takes you along a tree-lined lane leading to the village's Wychwood Wild Garden, 12.5 acres of woodland, gardens and ponds - quintessential Cotswold country and absolutely charming.

Guest reviews

Thank you Vanessa for providing us with a real "home from home".
Your attention an impressive indication of the love you have put into a hamper for welcoming guests. The wine, the beef chews for the dog and tea cakes were a very nice touch indeed.
In fact we would recommend you and the cottage to anyone else who fancies visiting the Cotswolds.

P.S try The Kings Head in Bledington for great food and atmosphere.

Wow! Booked as a surprise getaway for my 50th birthday and New Year. We had a wonderful time, walking around the village, a lovely New Year’s Eve meal with Vanessa & Andy at The Lamb Inn – delicious food also at The Hare in neighbouring village. We explored the Cotswolds using Shipton as a base: Chipping Norton & Burford – both lovely and a day shopping in Bicester village designer outlet only an hour away. The cottage was perfect for the two of us; cosy nights by the log burner and everything we needed on arrival. It has been fantastic and we would have no hesitation in coming back. Thank you so much guys, we loved it!
