Property details

Situated in the picturesque heart of the beautiful village of Ebrington (as featured in Penelope Keith's "Hidden Villages), Harrowby End is a cosy Grade II listed, Cotswold stone, thatched cottage. Recently refurbished, it retains its character features of beams, an inglenook fireplace, wood burning stove and window seats with views of the village and the enclosed rear garden.
The village is home to The Ebrington Arms, voted Village Pub of the Year by the Sunday Times 2017, serving great food and it's own beers which CAMRA voted best newcomer 2017 (after 5 years of making their own beer!).

Ebrington is also home to Vegetable Matters, a brilliant new store selling local vegetables and a whole range of other quality foods, as well as being a destination for a variety of breakfasts, light lunches and teas and coffees.

Guest reviews

A very enjoyable few days celebrating our anniversary and getting off the hamster wheel! Cosy and well equipped cottage. Good food at The Ebrington Arms.

We LOVED our stay at Harrowby End! Ebrington was easily the most adorable village in the area with tons of thatched roofs and we loved The Ebrington Arms - the local pub and restaurant with a Michelin star! We were there both nights - tip - make a reservation! Our hosts left a lovely hamper, including local fresh milk, cheese, butter, fruit, coffee, tea and cake. We loved the fireplace. SUCH a lovely stay - the highlight of our trip!

What a wonderful cottage, very cosy with lovely towels and comfy beds. We recently stayed at the cottage with our two dogs and two boys and have had the most amazing, relaxing time. Plenty of scenic walks and dinners in the local pub, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We will definitely be back, just for longer next time!

We really did have a wonderful time. It felt more like being at a friends house rather than at a rental property, it was so cosy. You have everything you could possibly need there! The pub had great food and is so dog/ children friendly. We walked up to Foxcote and also up around Ebrington Hill farm which our Lab Hector and Terrier Harry loved. They both passed out in front of the fire after several hours walking. The boys keep asking when will we be back? Looking forward to coming back to the peace and quiet.

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay in this cottage at the weekend. We arrived Friday and although the village was in darkness the cottage was lovely and warm with the lamps on and looked really cosy. Everything was laid out for the fire to be lit.
It was really well equipped and we were amazed by the fabulous hamper too. We would recommend the Ebrington Arms, a minute's walk away, where we ate Friday night. The food was superb. We had a lovely walk Saturday and there are plenty to choose from.
A lot of thought has gone in to making your stay at this property so enjoyable.
Thank you and we will definitely be back!

My daughter and I stayed at Harrowby End for a few days with our dog. The cottage was superb. One of the nicest I have stayed in. The welcome hamper was excellent as were the flowers. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen smelled lovely. Thick fluffy towels and White Company toiletries were great. A beautifully maintained cottage which I would highly recommend, I hope to return in the near future.

Very cosy, comfy cottage, very well located. The village pub welcoming with a lovely atmosphere. Weather was kind to us which meant we had some lovely strolls at Chipping Campden, Winchcombe, Dovers Hill and on route home we shall probably visit Burford, one of our favourite places. We also went to Hidcote which was very pretty at this time of year and not too busy. Thanks to the housekeeper for making the cottage so comfy and welcoming.

The location is perfect for exploring Cotswolds. Inside, the place is immaculate. The kids loved running up and down the stairs, and their room is as perfect as it gets - they loved sitting in the deep window sills and reading their books. We absolutely loved this cottage.

We awoke to 3 inches of snow and after a walk through the snow down the lane to the summer house, we headed to the ships and delights of Chipping Campden. Then onto Dover's Hill for an amazing walk through snow drifts. We returned to the Red Lion in Chipping Campden for a late lunch, very welcoming. An excellent Sunday lunch at the local pub.
