Badminton Horse Trials -Thur 21st - Mon 25th April

Held since 1949 not only makes Badminton Horse trials the oldest but 1 of only 6 such events in the world. Equestrian action at its best! This 4 Star Major 5 day event is once again taking place in the grounds of the Duke of Beauforts residence, Badminton House (which also gives its name to the sport badminton). This prestigious and toughest of horse trials is split into three different phases: Dressage, Cross Country Test and Jumping Test with the popular Cross Country day event which is held on the Sunday attracting thousands. Not only for horse lovers, the side attractions on offer make this also a popular family day out for even the non-equestrian out there! A perfect bank holiday destination for the family.
